The AI Assistant
Can the AI assistant answer from the open internet?
No. It retrieves only from your workspace's approved content — SOPs, policies and published lessons — scoped to what the asking person is allowed to see, and every answer cites its source. How the assistant works →
What happens when there is no approved answer?
The assistant says it cannot find an approved source instead of guessing, and points the person to their admin. Unanswered questions surface to admins, so missing SOPs become a to-write list.
Is our content used to train AI models?
No. Your content is retrieved at question time to ground the answer and is never used to train models. Removing content from your workspace removes it from retrieval. AI privacy details →
Can staff practise difficult conversations with AI roleplay?

Verification & Certificates
How is this different from a typical LMS?

Can certifications renew automatically?

How do we know a location is ready to open?
You define the bar — courses completed, quizzes passed, opening checklist done, observations signed off — and HQ watches every location's progress on one board, certifying launch when the bar is met.
Can managers see how their own team is doing?
Yes. Dashboards break down completion, certification compliance and overdue work per team and location, and every view exports to CSV. Managers also grade assignments and sign off observations.
Access & Isolation
Do franchise partners see our internal content?
No. External partners work in an isolated portal and see only what you assign to it — enforced everywhere content can surface, including search and AI answers. The isolation architecture →
Who can see our workspace content?
Only members of your workspace, within the permissions you set. Visibility scopes are enforced at the data layer — in the library, global search, AI retrieval and recommendations.
Can one company's questions reach another company?

How does selective delivery handle multiple locations?

Getting Started & Content
Do we have to rebuild our training content from scratch?
No. Upload the videos, PPTs and PDFs you already have — each file becomes a lesson you arrange into courses. AI can draft outlines and quizzes from your material, with a human approving every draft.
What file types can become lessons?
Video, PPT, PDF, documents and images upload directly. You can also write text lessons, embed links, and convert an existing SOP into a micro-course in one click. Course building features →
Can we build courses without using AI at all?
Yes. Upload files, arrange lessons, set a quiz and publish — entirely by hand. AI drafting is an optional accelerator, never a requirement.
Can people outside the L&D team contribute content?
Yes. Your best practitioners draft courses from what they actually do; L&D reviews, edits and publishes with the expert credited. Contributions never go live without review.
We're not technical — how much setup is involved?
If you can upload a file, you can build a course. Most teams run their first course within a day, and an optional launch service (S$800 one-time) does the initial setup with you. Start from a template pack →
Does it handle HR, payroll or shift scheduling?
No, deliberately. MagiLearn OS is a training platform only — no HR modules, no rosters, no payroll. It stays sharp at one job.
Pricing & Plans
What counts as a seat?
An active or invited person in your workspace. Deactivated people free their seat immediately and their learning history is preserved. See the full pricing →
How do franchise locations get billed?
S$49 per month per active location portal, each including 10 external seats for that franchisee's team. Extra external seats are S$2 per seat per month.
What happens if we hit our AI allowance?
The assistant keeps working in extractive mode — search and citations without generation — and admins can add a 1,000-request top-up for S$50. Overage is never billed automatically.
Is there a setup fee or long-term contract?
No setup fee. Annual plans give two months free versus monthly; monthly plans cancel anytime. Plan details →
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. The 14-day trial includes every feature with no credit card and no auto-conversion — when it ends, the workspace pauses and nothing is deleted for 60 days.
Can we run it under our own brand?
Yes. The OEM edition runs the platform under your product name, brand colour, custom domain and email sender — end to end, including notification emails. Enterprise / OEM plan →
Data & Compliance
What happens to our data if we leave?
Your data exports with you — people, learning records and content, at any time, on any plan. If a subscription ends, the workspace pauses and nothing is deleted for 60 days. Data rights details →
How is personal data handled under PDPA?
Per-person data export and erasure are built into the product. Deactivating a member revokes all access immediately, and learning records follow soft-deletion with retention rules.
Is content we upload during a trial safe?
Yes. Trial workspaces get the same tenant isolation and data-layer permissions as paid ones, and your content is never used to train AI models. The security page →
